When the Lord of The Rings series came out, I was still at the age when one child hasn't acquired the habit of believing every story with a hero in it would come to a happy ending -- happy for the heroes. The goal will be achieved, the enemy will be defeated, and all the evil and difficulties will be cleared almost entirely with forces of any sort, despite some of them might die and the pretence of hopelessness.

在《霍比特人2：史矛革之戰(zhàn)》的花絮里，有一段被刪去的情節(jié)：原來(lái)，萊格拉斯（以下簡(jiǎn)稱“葉子”）出去追陶瑞爾（以下簡(jiǎn)稱“桃子”）之前，是跟爹（精靈王）請(qǐng)示過(guò)的，并非連招呼都不跟爹打一聲就直接跑出去追。怪不得葉子追上陶瑞爾后說(shuō)“The King is angry”，之后講的話更令人丈二和尚摸不著頭腦，如下：
