One of the finest romantic films ever made (名副其實！), I Know Where I’m Going tells the story of Joan Webster (the great Dame Wendy Hiller), a middle-class English girl willing to do anything to move up in the world. As with Colonel Blimp, the film’s themes are specifically rooted in English identity—in this case, the British obsession with social class. When Joan is on her way to marry a wealthy industrialist on his private Scottish isle of Kiloran, a storm hits, trapping her on the Isle of Mull. There she meets a naval officer returning from the war (Livesey again), and an attraction forms between the two.

所以就像歌里面唱的：我知道我要去哪里。我知道誰將伴我同行。我也知道哪個是我傾心。但是天曉得將來我要嫁誰……
女人從小就在計劃那事，為那事?lián)?，因為這個她要一生經(jīng)營的事業(yè)居然是完全不能確定，幾乎要聽天由命的。
電影里頭Wendy Hiller演的這個女孩子，其實真的好叫我喜歡，她想干什么就立馬行動，根本不太在乎別人的偏見。
所以電影一開頭，就看到她從小特立獨行，看到她遠遠拋開那些愚蠢的女同學(xué)，最后又看到她躊躇滿志地通知老父——她馬上要下嫁全國最有錢的人，一個年紀大她好多的中年實業(yè)家。
難能可貴，她真的是想好了怎么做對自己最有利，她不會做有事業(yè)沒家庭的孤獨女強人，她也不會光為了錢跟自己討厭的人結(jié)婚，她完全是出于自己照料自己的決心，理性聰明地規(guī)劃好一切，并且堅定地實現(xiàn)。
于是，Joan小姐像安排自己的人生一樣，詳盡地計劃好旅程，自信滿滿地一個人帶了婚紗與行李，搭火車準備去某個蘇格蘭海島與富翁成婚。

#DVD 整體節(jié)奏好快，開場幾句宿命論般的旁白和女主童年經(jīng)歷+演職人員表畫面結(jié)合就把女主的性格交代清楚了。后續(xù)的火車轉(zhuǎn)輪船轉(zhuǎn)汽車總讓我想起血與冰激凌中的那個比較出名的轉(zhuǎn)場。男主則一樣帶著宿命出場，整部電影的宿命感好強，結(jié)尾這部分算收的不錯，風(fēng)笛手，女主的宿命，男主的詛咒。
未婚夫與男主似乎對照著新資本與舊貴族，“Money isn't everything”，這么看影片似乎也呈現(xiàn)了另一種《百戰(zhàn)將軍》，只是這結(jié)尾還是不咋喜歡，有種失去了“我走我路”的感覺（畢竟還是時代的局限性）
