Richard "Mac" McKinney, a member of the United States Marine Corps, once planned to return to his home in Muncie, Indiana, as a hero, sitting in a coffin with the US flag. But this did not happen. On the contrary, after 25 years of service, he returned alive, full of anger. He still longed to die for his country, and he planned to bomb the local mosque. But when he faced Afghan refugees and other Muslim believers he was trying to kill, his plan underwent an unexpected transformation.
