How do you rebuild yourself when you lose your father and country forever at the age of 8? Nadia Nadim's father was killed by the Taliban in 2000, and she has already started this mission. The young Afghan woman, her four sisters and their mother fled Kabul after the violence. Like millions of compatriots, they were crushed by decades of conflict as Russia and subsequent US troops occupied the country. Today, the Taliban regained control. Football passion saved Nadia. She became a forward for the Danish national team and then joined the Paris Saint Germain women's team. Nadia has become a football star and wants to return to Afghanistan to learn more about her father's fate. But as the Taliban and ISIS create chaos every day, the country is torn apart by terrorism. Abandoning this trip, Nadia must mourn the loss of her loved ones once again. However, she will not sink and has plans for the future: to graduate as a reconstructive surgeon and heal her people.
