This is a self refuting behavior, however, this behavior is far more than just a satirical and aesthetic "posture" - it is clearly related to the way people treat politics, political speeches, and political semiotics. The joke is that it is this tendency to disagree with one's own views that made Farocki films in the 1960s somewhat clumsy and even ineffective compared to the 1968 "Revolutionary Workers, Students, and Students" movement. 30 years later, these films became quite effective projects.
