Desdemona lives on a lonely island with her unfamiliar family: her father Mario, stepmother Dursina, and sister Polova, who is suffering from mental disorders. As the only resident on the island, loneliness and desolation engulfed all her family members. Desdemona attempted to escape boredom by taking long walks on the beach or engaging in self fulfilling behaviors. She often tries to lure her father Mario into engaging in sexual activity. Their daily lives were interrupted by the arrival of a strong stranger (by boat), who brought friction to Desdemona's family.
