上學(xué)期hiphop culture課上看的,印象非常深刻。昨天吃飯的時(shí)候聽(tīng)podcast講到最近很火的街舞節(jié)目,包括這街和美國(guó)新做的lengendary。近幾年街舞的風(fēng)靡和大眾化確實(shí)讓人吃驚,節(jié)目里吐槽lengendary將 underground ballroom culture通過(guò)娛樂(lè)的形式展現(xiàn)出來(lái),實(shí)在與原本的houses相差太遠(yuǎn)。于是隨即想起這部紀(jì)錄片,記錄了90年代紐約地下ballroom community的誕生和發(fā)展。當(dāng)時(shí)的非裔、拉丁裔等少數(shù)族裔性少數(shù)群體為了在生存舉步維艱的社會(huì)尋找慰藉和歸宿創(chuàng)辦了houses和變裝舞會(huì)
