This is a modern version of the Gospel, starting with John the Baptist, who called on a group of young New Yorkers to follow Jesus and learn from him in their daily lives. They formed a touring performance troupe, performing fables through singing, dancing, comedy, and mime. Jesus' ministry ended with the Last Supper, where he was crucified in a garbage dump. The next morning, his body was carried back to the living world on the streets of New York by the apostles.
