In her book, '; The elderly ";, Simon de Beauvoir claimed that the elderly were enveloped by a conspiracy of silence. This movie attempts to break the silence, and Simon de Beauvoir's comments are its main thread. We visited residents of Ivry or Nanterre, coal miners or textile workers in northern France, intellectuals and artists in Paris... But the elderly were the most present. They tell us about their lives, loneliness, problems, as well as their sex life and love.
