A young man escapes from a government project called "Clonus" and discovers that presidential candidate Jeff Knight (played by Peter Graves) is plotting to keep Clonus confidential. Senior government officials are aware of this and support this super secret project, as they are cloning themselves to sacrifice slave like cloning opponents and live longer and better. When the fugitive known as Richard (played by Tim Donally) returns to Clonus, he discovers that his girlfriend has had her brain lobe removed for government security reasons, and his ethical and moral values are being explored.
