This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen! I also want to watch every British Murphy movie: she is an unforgettable actress who, under the guidance of a suitable director, can bring the cutest and most unique characters (they can forget "Daisy" or "Elizabeth Perkins"!) to life, but here, she follows the conventional dialogue. This movie did not attempt to achieve credibility - the way her characters dress goes against her personality, how can they afford a decent house with the money they earn, how can people like Mom find jobs so easily, and so on. Furthermore, we are not surprised that they are driving a classic car, nor are we surprised that our daughter is the smartest child in literature class, nor are we surprised that her mother has turned into a dirty and ugly stripper in a drunken and filthy cave. We are not surprised, amused, or even concerned that this mother is more foolish and childish than our teenage daughter. Of course, every teenage movie must have a group of foolish hormone driven male teenagers who will cause trouble, and one of them must be the cute boy she will definitely fall in love with. As long as the movie adds fresh material to maintain entertainment, there's nothing wrong with the plot being so uninspiring (this movie doesn't have it). It lacks the most basic component of every movie - visual style. The music is very vulgar. The events that happen in the story are just because they have already happened in other similar movies. The secondary plot about teenage boys and some prostitutes is meaningless. I don't know why; The falling sky; Production completed. Perhaps it looks good on paper, but then the entire project falls apart; Perhaps it's because neither Brian J. de Palma nor the actors have any foresight or enthusiasm for this movie.
