Pandora's Box, subtitled "A Fable from the Age of Science," is a six episode television documentary produced and written by Adam Curtis by the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1992, exploring the consequences of political and technological bureaucratic rationalism. These plots sequentially involve communism in the Soviet Union, systems analysis and game theory during the Cold War, the economy of Britain in the 1970s, the insecticide DDT, Kwame Nkrumah's leadership in Ghana in the 1950s and 1960s, and the history of nuclear energy. Curtis's later series of works "The Age of Self" and "Traps" also have similar themes. The title sequence extensively utilizes clips from the short film "Dream Design", as well as other similar archive clips.
