沉默的羔羊本來就不是以畫面重口而成為經(jīng)典的，最血腥的鏡頭也不過博士逃獄布置的那一幕。影片整體視覺語言還是忍隱克制。之所以成為經(jīng)典，一方面是因為那個年代類似的連環(huán)殺手重口片還很少，另一方面，真正引人入勝的是對犯罪細節(jié)里面的剝皮、異裝等少量側(cè)面描寫及對這種跨性別犯罪（甚至不能算性犯罪，只是異裝癖，這跟我們后來熟識的真實發(fā)生的連環(huán)殺手案件也有很大差異。）的背后所謂人性的窺探欲。
衍生劇呢，哼，簡直就是對這種風(fēng)格的完全背叛。畫面上的絕對重口+味如嚼蠟的犯罪動機，褲子都脫了
