Harry de Leyer, a Dutch immigrant, went to the United States after the Second World War and established a revolutionary relationship with an Amish plow horse rescued from a slaughtering car driven to a rubber factory. Harry bought the horse for $80 and named it Snowman. In less than two years, Harry& Snowman continued to win the treble of platform performance and beat the blue blood players of the national team. They became famous together and traveled around the world. They met by chance at a horse auction in Pennsylvania, saved them and established a lifelong friendship. Harry, 86, told their Cinderella love story, and he continued to train on today's platform performance track.
