This movie begins with the publication of his book "The Liar" and tells the story of liberal spokesperson and comedian Al Franken establishing a liberal radio station, attending the Republican convention, and considering running for senator. Besides reading his books and some of his SNL works in the store, I really don't know how he integrates into the political landscape of the United States; Obtain '; How does the United States operate in this regard. In the UK, we do have media belonging to certain political groups (such as the Daily Mail, which has always been the newspaper of the Conservative Party), but we have not experienced division like in the United States. So I'm not sure how I would respond to a movie that is very focused on this kind of division and focuses on someone who is very inclined towards liberal extremism, just like how others tend towards conservative extremism. However, I actually found it easy to understand because nothing is more important than following Franken on the road. Others say it feels like a 90 minute campaign advertisement, and they are very successful because if you are a liberal, then this movie does vividly portray a passionate person fighting for themselves. In addition, his announced plans to run for senator indicate that if this movie was not filmed for that reason, then it definitely wouldn't have any harm. This movie is quite balanced in as many aspects as possible. It (this movie) did not start with any Republicans, but of course, by following Franken and giving him most of the time, it will never become a documentary that treats both sides of the argument equally. I really like this movie, I find it both interesting and funny, but the political nature in it makes me very disgusted. Now I accept the fact that this is America, not just this movie, but I still find it difficult to accept the polarized nature of Franken and his conservative background on Fox News and other platforms. Nowadays, satirists and comedians do indeed mock, and I have no objection to John Stuart's approach; However, in Franken, we see him meeting with these people and engaging in political debates with them, which is not always so pleasant. Sometimes, he simply spreads lies and spins about the opposition (as he did say), and he does it well, but other times, we see him easily scoring points in people's faces and lowering himself to the level of insulting conservative commentators and journalists. I know this is the essence of American politics, but I don't think his methods are better than theirs - even if I am closer to his political views. He talked about unification, but he seems more keen on division to see who gets the most votes. I didn't describe this very well, but it's an unpleasant part of the movie because seeing the two ends of the spectrum just fighting instead of debating is very frustrating. Overall, this is an interesting movie. If you are a conservative, it may not even be worth watching because this movie belongs to Franken. Sometimes he gives the impression of being clear headed, but sometimes he's not better than some of the people he mocks - that's the bad side of the movie, but to be fair, it's quite interesting, albeit unfortunate.
