因《新秩序》而備受關(guān)注的墨西哥導(dǎo)演米歇爾·弗朗哥,去年拉上在《慢性》里合作過的蒂姆·羅斯,拍了另一部寓言電影《日落》,結(jié)果“榮獲”威尼斯場刊評分倒數(shù)第一。想到《新秩序》問世后同樣充滿爭議——不僅是政治性的爭議,也有敘事方法的爭議,但畢竟拿到了評審團(tuán)大獎,也算有個收鑼罷鼓。而今《日落》的差評,究其原因,實際上就是弗朗哥在敘事上玩的這種“空城計”只能成效一次,也就不免讓他受到了更多質(zhì)疑。
不過,《日落》乃至《新秩序》在我看來無法被輕易地定為差評

Actually I felt quite confused about the behaviors of the leading male character from the beginning. Why did he evade everything, such as his responsibility as a son, and a brother? Even he knew the excuses can’t work for a long time, he did nothing, just escaping. Besides, why did he decide to stay in Mexico? At first I thought he did so because of “strange love”? But in the end, he left her either. Or he just wanted to live without any responsibility?

尼爾·貝尼特和他的妹妹艾麗絲以及她的兩個小孩,在墨西哥的度假村愉快地消磨時光,那兒有漂亮的海景,誘人的無邊泳池以及晚餐之后歡唱的藝人。然而突然之間災(zāi)難來臨,一通電話打給艾麗絲,告知他們的母親已經(jīng)去世。此時尼爾做出了一個決定,一個真正服從大腦的理智決定——他假裝丟了護(hù)照,無法回家參加葬禮。反正那個女人已經(jīng)死了,她還有什么可在乎的呢?
我在觀影的過程中笑了好幾次,看完之后想起情節(jié)又笑了幾次——很顯然,盡管我也確實這么做了
