When a ball accidentally hits the window of a nearby haunted house, Alice is the only person who has the courage to go in and retrieve it. When she was inside, she fell and hit her head, sending her to a cartoon dream where she saved a cat and battled some souls in a ghost city. When she woke up, she retrieved the ball but found that the police had already investigated the scene. The police pursued Alice, believing that she was responsible for the scene, and arrested her.
