Maria Packington felt frustrated when her husband George ignored her and instead supported his much younger secretary Nancy. She replied to an advertisement promising to make her happier and eventually arrived at Parker Pyne's office. As a result, she was introduced to the handsome young Claude Lutrell, who made her feel special. Eventually, Maria and Claude "bumped into" George and Nancy, and George spread goose sauce on the male goose before returning to his wife. Claude gently disappointed Maria, saying that he was a male prostitute but would reform himself because of her, so that she would always feel special.
