"The Kingdom at the End of the Road" (Swedish: Riket vid v? Gens slip) is the third book in Jane Giraud's "The Templar" (Crusade Trilogy) series. This book tells the story of the fictional character Arnold Magnussen returning to Sweden after serving as a Templar Knight for 20 years. The beginning of this book is when Arne returns to his home in the monastery where he grew up and reunites with his family. Arne, now an experienced knight with great plans for Sweden. Establish a strong and concentrated combat force to create stable peace within these three countries (which will one day be called Sweden). He was also forced to retreat from two invasions by Sverker Karlsson, a Danish supported contender for the throne. This book covers the last part of Arne's life and considers him the de facto founding father of modern Sweden.
