This drama takes place in McNamara Troy, a plastic surgery center in southern Florida, and revolves around two doctors who own the center. Sean McNamara (played by Dylan Walsh) encounters problems at home, trying to reunite his family and repair the rough road he and his wife Julia (played by Jolie Richardson) are going through. On the other hand, the eager Christian Troy (played by Julian McMahon) uses her charm to attract potential female candidates and engages in improper business transactions, usually for the sake of money. Although Sean takes his work seriously, he often has to correct Christian's mistakes. In the first season, Sean and Christian were mixed up with Colombian drug lord Escobar Gallardo, who forced the two to undergo free surgery at any time. Sean's marriage with Julia began to break down, and Sean had an affair with a patient named Megan O'Hara. Julia returned to school, but her studies were interrupted due to the miscarriage of the child Sean and Julia wanted. Christian learned that he was the father of a child with a woman named Gina, whom he met on an anonymous sexual harassment website. When a baby is born, we understand that the baby is African American and therefore not his. Julia questioned Matt's paternity.
