From Brexit and the Glenfeld fire to the "black life is also life" protest and COVID-19, this is an unprecedented six year movie like venting trip in Britain. British filmmaker Paul Daley started this project seven years ago. Originally a simple trade and traditional document, it later evolved into a complex and charming contemporary portrait of Britain, depicting some of the most seismic events in modern history. The Mirror, shot in 16mm, is a clear diary and poetic map, a journey across islands - its relationships, customs, cracks, and bonds transcend personal and political, historical, and intimate.
