A killer cruelly attacked several tenants of a high-rise apartment building in New York City. "Too Afraid of Screaming" is actually a better 1980s horror film than many people had anticipated. Mike Connors (from the TV series "The Mannies") plays a detective, and his partner (Anne Archer, in her first major screen role) tries to solve a puzzling murder case that occurred in a high-rise apartment building in New York. Several suspects, including the gentle and kind doorman in the apartment building (Ian McShane), live with his silent and paralyzed mother (Maureen O'Sullivan, who plays Jane in the Mount Taishan movie). Other suspects include a fashion designer (played by Sully Boyer), as well as countless people inside and around the building. This movie is aging slowly, and the script could have used more original content, perhaps with a larger budget, as it was not acquired by a large distribution studio.
