A virtually forgotten incident of the near past, in 1968, Italian engineer Giorgio Rosa built a micro-nation, a 400 square meter platform, to be exact, later referred as “The Republic of Rose Island”, in the Adriatic Sea, 11 kilometers off the coast of the province of Rimini.
