Beyond the Skies, the directorial debut of Chinese Academy of Art professor Liú Zhìhǎi 劉智海, is a black-and-white arthouse war film that is evocative of Chinese ink wash painting. It premiered a year ago at the Shanghai International Film Festival , then nabbed three Tiantan awards in Beijing before moving onto other festivals in Kyoto and Okinawa. But at home, few have heard about and even fewer have watched this film.

自從2020年疫情以來，實(shí)體電影院經(jīng)營困難，院線電影面臨著拍攝數(shù)量大幅減少、檔期屢屢調(diào)整、票房縮水等實(shí)際問題，不少從業(yè)人員都在呼吁救市的重要性。然而，也有不少人有著不同的看法。
近年來受短視頻的沖擊，觀眾已經(jīng)越來越?jīng)]有耐性集中1-2個小時(shí)的注意力去觀賞一部電影，他們更喜歡那種精彩鏡頭的剪輯，或者幾分鐘看完一部電影的短視頻。
于是，《指環(huán)王》在多年后的重映居然收獲了一大波年輕人的差評，理由是“三個小時(shí)居然還沒有講完一個故事”、“鋪墊太多，不夠精彩刺激，反轉(zhuǎn)太少”
