A young Napoleon officer followed a mysterious woman to an old baron's castle, where he found that the woman was under the command of an old witch, whose ultimate purpose was to force the baron to commit suicide... Roger directed the rest of the previous film for two days, without a suitable script. He hired Francis Coppola to write the script and complete the painting. After five weeks of shooting, Roger fired Francis and hired me to complete the shooting. Jack Hill was hired to write a new play with me. A lot of things Francis shot were thrown away, except for the witch in "The King of OZ" (Dorothy Newman), I finished the film in five days. All the interiors are Roger's (except Francis's Witch's Nest), and most of the exteriors are mine. As far as I know, contrary to legend, Jack Nicholson did not direct any film.
