The plot takes place in Los Angeles, where Modesty and Willie prevent a young girl from being kidnapped. The girl turned out to be a computer genius and has been working for a talent agency in Tallant. Although both Modesty and Willie's background stories were described by O'Donnell, they did not explain their North American accent or presence in California. As a special agent of the United States Secret Service, Tarant naturally does not have a knighthood title. The supercomputer they have been developing was stolen by Debbie Defarge and used to make a fortune on the New York Stock Exchange. Willie's knife throwing technique and Modesty's habit of tearing off the lower part of her skirt when summoned to action have been faithfully reproduced, as have many jokes between Willie and Modesty, but in other aspects, these characters have little resemblance to O'Donnell's literary creations. In 2003, with the release of "My Name is Very Humble", another attempt was made to adapt this comic.
