The film begins with Giovanna Abastza (played by Mariangela Melato) and her boyfriend Claudio (played by Renato Pozzetto) watching a play about Jean D'arc. From their matching orange dyeing work, it can be seen that they are together. Although anyone who has read the title may suspect that they have watched a movie about a female police officer, there is still a lot of background story needed before Giovanna decides to join the police force. Firstly, she must be humiliated and touched by every man nearby. Claudio dumped her at the moment he learned that she might be pregnant (as it turned out she wasn't), and the guy at the pharmacy began to regain his vitality. Her lawyer couldn't control himself, and her father treated her and her mother as his private slaves. As she was preparing to board the train bound for Milan, she saw a police recruitment poster and decided to throw away the ticket to defend her rights. In a relatively short training sequence, there were some widespread comedies (it took the producers of the Police Academy ten years to discover that they could produce seven movies, one comic, and one TV series based solely on these scenes), but soon Giovanna walked down the street in her uniform, advocating justice, especially for anyone who unfortunately became male (paired with Morricone style music). As the first female police officer in this small town, she caused a sensation overnight. But her strict enforcement soon began to anger those corrupt authorities. Not long after, all the senior management formed a godfather like "family" to smear her in the fastest way possible. Director Stano attempted to navigate between too many different styles. There are many social comments about pollution and money laundering, but we also have farce scenes from Renato Pozeto. Then, as Giovanna began to take on various unsettling tasks, there was a rather cruel and unnecessary scene where a cow was placed in the slaughterhouse. Giovanna sees herself as several fantasy sequences of Jean D'arc and the old; eavesdroppers get the wrong impression while eavesdropping on her house; conventional La Poliotta is actually in conflict with the entire town. The only likable man is a local judge who has a special fondness for her, but surprisingly, she has not returned his love. This movie is undoubtedly a brave attempt to convey a solid feminist message, far from the foolish sequel where Edwin Fenech takes over as the protagonist. During the training process, people may feel that Alvaro... Vitaly is a comical partner, but it didn't happen until the next issue of the series. Unfortunately, overall, all different ideas haven't fully fused together.
